Bahamas anyone?

I am considering the Bahamas for next July, probably a 2 centre holiday with the first week on Paradise Island so the children can do the Atlantis waterpark etc.
Any suggestions or advice? Any ideas for the second week? We are happy to rent a car, like wildlife, outdoorsy stuff. We are also keen on diving.
Any help appreciated, there are not many travel companies that seem to do Bahamas so it looks like we will book BA flights and organise the accommodation etc ourselves.

We've been a couple of times. Wasn't mad on Nassau, not awful or anything just big and touristy, but the out islands are amazing.
Look at The Exumas, Eleuthera or Abacos. Amazing beaches and good diving. TripAdvisor is the best source of info.

We used to go to Abaco when I was a kid. It's beautiful and I've not been for years but from what I hear it's still not too touristy
