What to do/see - Fishguard to Cardiff

Afternoon all. We'll be travelling from Fishguard to Cardiff on Sunday morning. Where would ye suggest we stop and visit along the way as we don't want to get to Cardiff too early. 2 big geeks & 2 geekettes in training (Doctor Who experience booked for Monday). Any nice places to stop for lunch and a run around for the kids?
Thanks very much

Watching, because we're doing the same trip in reverse later in the summer!

It's really not that far - 2 hours. But if there's an accident it comes to a complete stop. I'd keep moving. Why don't you bomb it up to Cardiff and go to Techniquest - which has a sciencey theme and is handily opposite a car park?

The McDonalds in Carmathen always seems to have super friendly staff.

Or there's a fab set of water slides in Cardiff International Pool and a nice cafe

Are you coming over on the boat or are you from fishguard? Could always stop in Tenby for an hour. Have a look at the beach. Get some breakfast somewhere :)
