Any island is fine however, the accommodation must have

A bar serving premium brands, i.e. What you'd get in a bar here, not the watered down stuff on holiday.

A good family environment but not the lager, full English and football wearing top scene.

Comfy beds!

Close to the airport

Within walking distance of shops and restaurants etc.

Can be self catering or bed and breakfast or even all inclusive if the above is met. Any ideas!?

Sandos San Blas in Tenerife fits your criteria perfectly. Only thing is the beds aren't that comfy unless you ask for a mattress topper which is lovely and soft.

Its a 10 minute transfer from the airport (hotel is almost at the end of the runway!), there is a village next door over a coastal path with shops/restaurants etc, all premium drinks etc included in all-inclusive and it's definitely not filled with football top wearing people (unless you include children!).

We went last year and are going again in August as we haven't been able to find anything else as nice.

Thanks. I've had a look at that but it's standard Spanish crap at the bar not premium drinks from what I can see.

Oh the irony of wanting UK drinks brands, dismissing Spanish brands as 'crap' but not wanting the 'lager, full English and football wearing top scene' Hmm.

I guess you don't work for San Miguel or Gin Mare PR?

Princess Yaiza, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote Smile

I went to Lanzarote in the February halfterm, we had a gorgeous arbnb villa near Playa Blanca. I was a bit underwhelmed by that part of Lanzarote, and we never visited the other parts. The beach at Princess Yaiza is nice, but very small. I would have liked to have seen some of the Cesar Manrique architecture, the few bits I did see were good. The marina at Playa Blanca is really nice.

Lanzarote is small, so everything is near the airport. Hire cars are cheap. There is a lot of lava rubble. One visit was enough for me, but I met many expats who had lived there for years and loved it.

Oh bigger off Seville. No, is just rather have a decent drink with my meal than the watered down stuff served in the canaries.
