My eighty year old next door neighbour and her ninety six year old friend wish me to ask you where they can buy summer dresses suitable for lunches out, trips to Italy and other occasions when jeans are not appropriate.
So where do your grannies go shopping? Mine are dead, so cannot ask.

I don't have grandparents any more but I've seen some nice clothes in M&S which they might like.

eastex?

it depends on their body shapes more than anything

smaller sizes have more choices

Marina · 22/03/2007 17:24

Agree - Eastex, Windsmoor. Do Country Casuals still exist?
My mum (76) goes and harrasses the staff in John Lewis. They have a huge range of old-lady-pleasing garb and endless patience.

Hi,
Im not old, but my mother uses the mentioned shops, but actually does a lot of shopping from catalogues! Fashion wold does a huge range of sizes and designs. Also something like Kays? Or you could do a search online. I would use google.com and search clothes+mail order+england see what you find!

Butdefinately catalogues I would suggest for the best choice.
Kaelidoscope is another for classy clothes and holiday slothes...
Yes country casuals too, and BHS sometimes.
Hope this helps

Bon Marche
Marks and Spencers

Thank you all, your suggestions were very helpful, they are checking out M & S online and planning a trip to Meadowhall. Since this time yesterday they were rather forlornly thinking of advertising for a dress maker you have done very well!
