Where is the best place you've stayed in the U.K.?

I am desperately after a night away with the DP. I need to destress massively!

I've been sitting on booking.com all night looking for somewhere to go but there is so much choice.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to go for one night. Where's the best place you've stayed?

I live in Kent but will happily drive for 2-3 hours.

Time to destress!
TIA

Probably further than 2 hours from you but the best place I have ever stayed is L'Manoir aux quat Saisons.

My fav place ever

Burnham on Crouch is lovely and not too far away from you. We love to walk by The River Crouch, have coffees over looking the moored boats and there's a great selection of good places to eat. We go there every year for a few days.

Rye. The Mermaid and also Jeakes House.

Depends what you want.

Best bed - Danesfield House superior room (nr Marlow)

Best view - Three Cliffs Bay campsite in the Gower

Nicest staff - Malvern Hills Hotel

Most destressing place was a farm bed and breakfast place near Durdle Door in Dorset. I would always choose a farm near a beautiful walk for less stress. Fresh air, quiet, year old copies of Good Housekeeping, exercise and a gobsmackingly huge breakfast is always my choice

If you need to de-stress I really wouldn't recommend driving 2-3 hours! How about looking for somewhere no more than an hour from home, that would concentrate your search area and in Kent there must be plenty of lovely country house hotels or spas or gastro pubs with rooms or whatever it is you're looking for.

Edinburgh is good but a lot further than two hours. I would go for somewhere quite rural with a lovely romantic room nice scenery walks and excellent reviews on trip adviser.

Foxhill manor just outside of Birmingham. It's a small friendly hotel with gorgeous rooms and the best part is you have prosecco on tap all - day - long. (And IIRC spirits and nibbles downstairs in the 'living room' that you can help yourself to)

There's a cinema room you can book just for you and DP to chill in and down the road there is a slightly bigger hotel with a spa that the staff will shuttle you to and from.

It's so lovely

The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market - amazing food and lovely area for beach walks.

It has a spa with outside saunas it's so cheap 130 quid for two including dinner breakfast.

You can add extra bits on. I love it
