Long weekend in the sun for 8/10 women

My friends and I are looking for somewhere warm in late September to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday. Ideally we'd like a villa with a pool, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Somewhere warm, and not too far to fly to from London. Maybe the French Riviera? We'd like to not have to hire cars, so easy transfer from airport/train station to villa would be good. Any suggestions?

The Algarve would still be warm then. It's a short flight and easy transfers, with lots of different types of resorts depending on what you like. We had a villa holiday there and managed fine without a car. Mallorca would be good too.

My sister went to Valencia with similar group size and said it was amazing
