There will be me, dp, ss13 and ds2.
I don't have a clue what to do. We haven't been abroad since pre ds days and that was just me and dp. We took ds to Filey last year at 8 weeks old. Ss didn't go as he lived at his mum's and that point and we went in term time. He went away with his mum.
This year he's moved in and because of this were skint and aren't going anywhere.
However were now saving for next year and have a budget of about 2 grand.
I don't know what to do.
You cannot simultaneously entertain a toddler and a teenager can you? I want togo abroad as I love the weather but I think I'll be sorely disappointed as I'll be with the 2yo inside all week (he hates the sun And gets ratty) whilst dp entertains ss because he cannot be alone for more then 10 seconds and has no interest in making any friends.
2 grand abroad seems a lot to have a shit week but then when I've looked at holidaying in this country it doesn't really appeal to me. Last year was ok but we hit on an amazing week weather wise and 8week old ds didn't need entertaining.
Can anyone help?! Do i cut my losses and not go abroad until ss is old enough to want to go off on his own or not want to go at all and be seen with us uncool folk? Or until ds is old enough to not be ratty and be happy in a pool?!
I'm stuck. I don't want to pay a fortune for a week id rather forget!
I'm contemplating something like centreparcs but the price is putting me off!
