Puerto Pollensa versus Holiday Village

I'm looking for a little advice please. Has anyone has been to the Holiday Village Protur Safari (Cala Millor) or the Playa Del Mar or Puerto Azul Suite hotels (in Puerto Pollensa) in Majorca?

We are currently undecided which to go to. We have been to the Holiday Village in Menorca which we loved but we are concerned about the Majorca location being more remote.

We have heard great things about Puerto Pollensa so we do fancy trying that and it appears to be a nicer resort than Cala Millor.

The Playa Del Mar hotel is £500 cheaper for all inclusive versus Puerto Azul Suite which is half board. The location of Puerto Azul seems much better though.

Any thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated.

I've been to the Puerto Azul. Buit I haven't been to a holiday village so I can't compare. We found it to be a good solid 3 star. It has an excellent location, Pollensa is so picturesque. It's minutes to get down onto the pine walk. The pool was lovely, and there was a mini disco and a little play area if you have small children. The food was nice enough. No complaints from us but we are all good eaters. I would definitely go back. (this is 4 years ago)
I did think the Illa D'Or In Pollensa had the best location. Would be more expensive I expect though....

HV is a wee bit further out, but it really is fantastic. If you enjoyed the Menorca one, you will love the Majorca one!

We went to the HV in Majorca last year and are going to the Majorca one this year

Ages of DCs last year were 3,2 and 9 months.

There is a hotel bus every 15 mins or so from the hotel to cala millor(with a lovely driver) Even with the double pram, it only took us 15 minutes or so to walk

Agree - the HV is lovely.
We have been to the Playa Del Mar as well, but is was some time ago, and not AI. It to was lovely at the time though.

The kids were quite small at the time so tended to stay in the hotel most of the time, although we always hire a car for a few days to get out and about. Don't tend to use the resort in the evenings etc so can't really comment on that.

Puerto pollensa is much nicer than calla millor imo.

I think we'd prefer Puerto Pollensa as a resort but the Holiday Village looks nicer with more to do than the Puerto Pollensa hotels we've seen so far. I guess I'm not sure if we would utilise the square etc in Puerto Pollensa in the evenings or whether we would mostly just stay at the hotel! It's hard to know but ds will be 4.5 years and dd 20 months so still very young!
