Hi taking 4 teenagers, DH and DM Iain August.

Anyone been ? Have booked a chalet for 7 people which I'm hoping will be big enough. Are barbecues allowed on site ?

Are you going Euro camping? If so then BBQs were available outside each chalet - at least when we went admittedly several years ago now.

Hiring bikes is a must - the countryside and villages are so pretty and the cycle routes are bliss! Beaches are fabulous too.

Check with whichever company you are going with regarding towels etc.x

Yes, bbq's on the patio's available if you are doing Eurocamp. You can hire bed linen and towels in advance. Waasenar just outside the park is a lovely little town. I'd recommend hiring bikes and exploring - it's nice and flat! Some great beaches nearby and easy to get to Amsterdam for a day trip.

we went a few years ago and had a fab time.

My dcs tended to,use the theme park early or late, to avoid the crowds.

There's a gorgeous sandy beach not too far away.

We drove to a Park and a Ride and then caught a train into Amsterdam. There's lots to do in Amsterdam including the science museum, Nero. Lovely Chinese restaurant near there also.

There's lots of other towns and villages worth exploring near Duinrell.

Thanks everyone - I'm getting excited now ! We've booked directly with Duinrell and not Eurocamp. Does that mean we have to pay to get in the amusement park ?

Check with them directly. I'll be honest, I can't remember having to show any pass to go onto the amusement park. I think we just wandered in.

I went last year and booked directly with Duinrell. We had a 6 person Duingalow. Bed linen was supplied by the company, I think the bed linen was part of the price but we paid a small fee €10 for the kitchen pack - tea towels, box of matches, scouring pads, few dishwasher tabs.
The amusement park is free if you've booked directly with Duinrell, we also got 3 hours free in the pool complex a day.
Wassenaar was gorgeous - we used the Jumbo supermarket for bits and pieces but tbh we mainly ate pizzas, bread, meats, cheeses, chips and chocolate - was bliss Grin. We took a day trip into Amsterdam - bus right outside Duinrell to The Hague and then the train - was very easy.
