bloody ryanair confusing wording - help!

emergency trip to mallorca for work. need to take several large cushions with me (don't ask). hold bag is ok for weight, but I cannot understand what their size restriction means when it says

"For health and safety reasons Ryanair does not accept for carriage any individual item exceeding 32 kilos or with combined dimensions of more than 81cms (height), 119cms (width) and 119cms (depth). "

Does this mean, like easyjet, I can combine all those numbers and use them in any way? ie. Easyjet has a total of 275cm so I could have something really long, as long as it was also really skinny.

I really hope so.. I have a bag which is coming up at 121cm long. But it's a bike bag so it's only 70cm tall and 20cm wide, which would mean if it IS a combined total, I'm safe.

ORRRR am I going to cry at the gate because I'm over 119cm length?

Help! I leave at 7am!

When we checked in a piece of furniture we just got told to take it to a desk that deals with oversized baggage. It was a flat packed dressing table and was probably similar length.

I honestly think you will be fine. I generally only take cabin luggage and have never once seen ryanair check dimensions

thanks monkey, that makes me feel a bit better!

I don't know, our recent Ryanair flight they were checking loads of bags. But some pushchairs are longer than that so I think you'll be fine. We definitely flew with a buggy in a bike bag with Ryanair some years back.
