So me and DH are at loggerheads about where to go during our half term break in October/November (30th october - 3rd November).
He suggested a 3 night holiday to the Costa Del Sol. I am doubtful that the weather would be kind and also since our half term is after everyone else's, everywhere of importance to a family with a 5 and 2 year old would be shut down until next season.
Then CP was suggested but that was vetoed by DH because our friend wants the price divided by 5 (us 4 plus her) whereas I said it needs to be divided by 3 and pay 'per room' in the cottage. But then DH didn't want to commit 'that amount of money' for 3 nights and 'what about the weather'.
So just before I reached for the kitchen knives ... I suggested Disneyland Paris.
Vetoed by DH.
Then suggested Alton Towers (it is open for bonfire weekend) but that would cost MORE than it would for CP!
Then suggested a cottage - somewhere - vetoed cos of the 'weather'.
Now suggested CP Europe. Cost would be bit more than CP in UK but extra night, 2 nights on a ferry and it's somewhere different and has different sort of activities. DH now saying our friend is unlikely to pay that much (but she would be willing to shell out for a 3 night stay on the costa del sol where weather not guaranteed and places closed down)
GIVE ME STRENGTH!
Told DH to forget October half term cos it's obvious he doesn't want to spend more than £500 and is using the weather as an excuse not to go anywhere in the f UK AND friend's financial issues with the break!
I am done! I am truly done! I am SICK of making suggestions and him contradicting himself.
I suggested a trip to Tenerife for a bloody week for a 'little bit more money' (not much more) and he said we can't afford it.
So I need some advice:
- Tell him to stick the break up his scrawny little arse (and hope he gives in and chooses somewhere that has a bloody fun factor attached to it)
- Keep making suggestions (which may put him in a coma ...)
- Give up and die!

We simply do not know where to go for either a 7-night, 4-night or 3-night break during Autumn half term that is cheap, has decent weather and/or has fun attached to it.
