Any tips on how to get a reasonably priced room?

All usual hotel sites want upwards of £100ish for half decent room for single female for 1 night. I'm travelling this week, so I now its a bit last minute, but surely not all the world and his dog are in Coventry on the same day?

For example - £200+ for Hilton
£130+ Best Western
£300+???? Village Hotel.

Have you checked trivago or laterooms or sites like that?

Stay in the Earlsdon Park Premier Inn. It's spotless, new, and the staff are lovely.

Also - 5* on tripadvisor.

(Full disclosure, I don't work there but stay in Coventry a lot)

If it's tomorrow, then the world and its dog probably does want a room, because Robbie Williams is playing at the Ricoh Arena.

Have you tried Premier Inn or Travelodge? For Thursday, Premier Inn at Earlsdon is £60.

Yep checked all trivago, hotels.com, booking.com all that jazz.

Earlsdon is booked up, but will bear in mind for future.

Emwithme you could be on to something there. I didn't know he was on (or had the pulling power to book up all the rooms in Coventry Wink )

Try Airbnb? I was sceptical but done it a few times with a friend now and we've loved it

Do you have to be in Coventry itself? There's plenty of hotels outside Coventry, try Kenilworth, Meriden, Solihull. And I agree that Airbnb is great.

blueistheonlycolourwefeel · 12/06/2017 23:10

this isn't far?

There is a Travelodge in Rugby, right next to the station. Ten minutes from Coventry on the train.

yes, I have tried to book in places when there has either been a big concert on and also at the moment there are lots of uni open days. it does make the Friday and Saturday nights book out quickly and early.
