Fuengirola - Recommendations please for Family Hotels with decent pool

Went with DH earlier in year loved the Spanish part of this area, hotel was fab but pool was tiny, really a cool off pool too small to swim. Want to go again this Summer with DS 12 but really need a family friendly hotel that has a great pool. I cant find any at all - they all seem to be further down the coat in Torremolinos or Benamadena.

The Hotel IPV Palace looks great lovely pool but very far out and ££££££. Can anyone recommend?

Could you stay in the same hotel but have a couple of days at a waterpark for the pool aspect?

There's at least 2 quite close by at Mijas and Torremolinos

There's always the huge salty pool near the beach too

That's what we thought we'd do but a decent pool would be great for him as well after we'd been out all day sight seeing
