Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good place to stay with a 9 month old. We are thinking of going in September. It doesn't have to be Portugal but I just thought its a short flight.
Thanks,
x

Hi Oscar22
What sort of holiday are you looking for? Hotel, all inclusive, self catering, childcare provision, activities etc? How long for?

Oscar22 · 19/03/2007 11:57

We'd like to stay in a self catering apartment/villa - not too expensive though. Would like to be near a beech and a few local shops.

If you are interested in Portugal, have a look at Vila Bicuda. Near to Lisbon, just up the coast, town called Cascais. Very nice, esp with kids, a mumsnetter came last year with her baby and had a fab time. It´s like a hotel, but you have your own apartment or house, so you can cook for the kids, eat in etc. The houses are lovely, although can be quite expensive I think, the studios are better value. There are 2 very quiet pools on the site, as well as a coffee shop, restaurant, and mini supermarket. Will find you a babysitter too if you´d like, or you can borrow ours (we live just down the road!). One of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal about 5kms away. It also has an onsite creche if you want to use it, as well as a mini playground.
