Hi,
We are going on a fly drive holiday in July. We have 3 days and two nights at the start of the trip to find somewhere to go and stay.
Ideally, I'd like somewhere which has a nice drive to it, scenic or coastal or even just opportunities to go off the motorway onto minor roads.
We have two children and I don't want to blow the budget in the first couple of days so I'm thinking somewhere remote might be cheaper.
We'd like an outdoor pool or near a beach if its reasonable .
We don't mind shabby or old!
It could be anywhere around Connecticut/Mass/Penn/New York state, as long as its not further than about 3-4 hours from NYC on return.
The usual hotel sites are not as good as a recommendation so appreciate anyone's advice!
