visiting in july for a week, staying in Nice quite near to the old town

we've never been before and have been saving for ages so want to make the most of our stay

any tips would be appreciated eg. public transport/getting to and from airport/places to visit like san remo, monaco, cannes, villefranche, juan les pins........what to do in these places, how to make the most of our time

really appreciate any advice, thanks

I love Nice😊. Getting around is easy and not expensive by bus or train. Train quicker though as traffic busy in summer. Villefranche has a lovely sandy beach, whereas Nice is pebbles. The coastline is beautiful, so scenic. EnjoySmile

thanks! are there any nice places you'd recommend to eat along the coast with lovely views? we aren't foodies at all but would love somewhere nice to sit and look at the sea

Take the train from Nice to Monte Carlo to see how the other 1 percent live. Amazing yachts, casino--and it costs under five euros to get there.

The market in Nice is amazing and lots of nice restaurants around it.

And make sure you try the local pancakes (socca) yum

Villefranche is about 10 mins on the bus, has a lovely beach with beach bars where you can get loungers and parasols and they will bring you cold drinks! Gorgeous restaurants all along the water. Ooh I want to go back!
