Eurostar destinations - Paris or Bruges Xmas

Anyone been? We are thinking Mid December?

Bruges is stunning! Definitely recommended it, especially around Xmas time

I wasn't keen on Bruges. It felt very chocolate-boxy. it's also quite small. I'd much rather go to Paris.

I'm not sure you can compare the two. Bruges is small - barely enough to occupy you for a day, Paris is well - Paris

We've done Bruges at Xmas and it is lovely. Wonderful for buying chocolate gifts and delicious boxes of biscuits. Also done Paris at Xmas but it didn't feel particularly Christmassy.

Bruges over Paris for me. There is loads to see and do there. If you couldn't find enough to do in one day you weren't trying very hard.

Paris is one of the few places I have been to where I felt unsafe and threatened.
