Weekend away

Any ideas on where is nice to go away for a weekend break? 2 adults and a toddler.

Brighton, Weymouth, Edinburgh, Shrewsbury. It depends where you live and how far you want to travel?

Was thinking somewhere abroad if it was just me and dh I'd like to go somewhere like Amsterdam but don't think I'd take toddler there.

What is there to do in Shrewsbury? A friend lives there didn't think there was much to do

We found Shrewsbury to be a great base for exploring the surrounding area and it was a very pretty town with a good range of shops. Have a look on Trip Advisor for a list of attractions in the area. We liked York and Liverpool when we visited them too.
