Reykjavik - Air BnB or rental recommendations (& anything else!)

Any recommendations - for a couple in December. For those of you who have been, do you recommend any area or actual place - ideally would love small outside space (balcony or garden) to sit with evening drink, skywatching? Is central better? We won't be hiring a car so on foot, bus and tours. There for a week - would you suggest going for small and central or further out and more room. Ideally sub £90 a night.

Any other tips gratefully received - really looking forward to this trip!

We hired an apartment for new year via Expedia. Was fabulously located. I'll dig out what it was called and DM you.

My most favourite place on earth so far. And I loved only having 4hoirs of daylight. Not sure I'd be sitting out on balconies at night in December though! We threw duvets in the car and headed away from the city lights.
