Thinking of going to either Algarve or Majorca or Costa del Sol at October half term (this year from 20th oct) so bit earlier than often ) -what can I expect from the weather ?! Would like it to at least be t shirts and shorts weather ideally !! Really grateful for any advice !

I live in the Algarve and although you could be lucky, it could also be showery

We went to Majorca in the October half term a few years ago and it was glorious, but we needed a light jacket in the evenings.

Hit and miss. Could be glorious, or could be stormy. Of your three options, Costa del Sol would probably be the warmest/driest, or if you want a better chance of good weather, how about the Canaries or somewhere a bit further south like Malta, Greece or Cyprus?

Yes I think that's what I may look at ! Just more expensive -but prob a good reason !

My father in law lives on the Costa del Sol and we tend to visit at October half term (he comes back to UK for 3 months June-Sept so a summer hol is out).
3 out of the last 4 years it has been t shirt and shorts weather in the main part of the day and warm enough to sit on beach etc. It was still cooler in the evening - t shirt, jeans and light jacket or cardi - but he does live up a mountain so may be warmer on coast.
The other year it was grey and drizzly and we needed jackets all the time.
So from my small study 75% chance of good weather!
