Travel insurance and pregnancy

Hello,

Do you need to tell travel insurance companies that you are pregnant? I can't find any way of doing this while getting quotes but don't want to get caught out. Any advice?

I think it depends how pregnant you are, but if you are far enough along that early labour could mean you need medical care not only for yourself, but also for your premature baby, then i think you need a specialist travel insurance provider, like Ravenhall.

go through a broker or when you have to declare conditions put in pregnant with your due date. there is always an "any other information" box on the online systems and you need to put it in here.

There is date up until when they will cover you. Otherwise, "pregnancy isn't an illness, so you don't need to declare it" said Insure & Go.

How many weeks will you be when you plan to travel? there are issues once you get over 32 weeks with some airlines, insurance companies etc.
