DH doing major, messy DIY this weekend and I thought I'd take my two boys to the nearest Butlins (Bognor) for the weekend. Anyone been and can offer advice? Cos I'm on my own, I'm wondering if it will be ok.

We went there 2 weeks ago - the Skyline has everything to offer the little ones. Noddy and toyland and all noddy's rides are all in a central place. There is also a softplay area within the building, however, there is a height restriction in place and my son (whose 4), only just made it to enter alone - I think it was 1 metre. There is a creche there, but we didn't use it so can't offer advise on that - have a good time. Evening entertainment great !

Wow, good for you. Try chatting up some of the redcoats and you'll get all the help you need
Sewriously, though I used to work on a Haven holiday camp and have been to Butlins, they are usually more than happy to help out.

Thanks for the messages. I have not tried a Butlins type trip before and feel a bit more reassured. If the children are entertained and happy, then I'll be happy.

It would be nice to have a quiet drink in the evening, but as I'm on my own and there doesn't seem to be a baby listening service, I'll have to go to bed at the same time as the boys (will take a good book and my radio with headphones).
