New York, child friendly hotel

I am after some recommendations for child friendly hotels in the city. I have been a few times without children and have loved the Library and the Giraffe although I think they would be out of budget for four of us. Any ideas greatfully reveived.

Novotel times square. Has a terrace bar so you can sit out with view of tines square in the evening and have a drink. Which is the nearest we got to nightlife with kids.

The Kimberly is lovely and you get a little kitchenette . We were there last year with our kids 6,13,13.
The staff were lovely and kept bringing extra water and chocolates once they saw we had 3 kids ! It's also pretty central
