Has anyone been? me and DP are disagreeing about spending money...for 2 adults and 2 children how much money should we take away with us? DP reckons £800 each but we're only going for a week!!

Any tips/advice about Santa Eulalia or Ibiza in general? I'm quite interested in their boat trips...

I guess you don't mean 3200 lol

when are you going?

it depends what you want tos pend it on ..don't think I could budget for someone else but 800 would be more than enough I should think for everyone

We're going in September, we're staying half board so all we'll need to buy is lunch and drinks and obviously any trips etc and bits for the kids to bring home etc...

should be nice ibiza is small so if youhave a car you can run round the whole island

lots of nice coves

a decent waterpark

doin't know about boat trips..you can go over to formentera

if children are very little i should think 500 would be plenty but peoples tastes and budgets vary

I wouldn't spend anything like that!

I went in 1972 or so when it was a small fishing village I think. Our first holiday ever. I was 10. My mother made us take veils to wear at mass in church there.

santa eulalia a really nice wee place, esp to stay with a family, good choice. hippy markets are nice (think on a weds but there may actually be more than one. ask at hotel recpt anyway) you can get a bus there.
old town in ibiza town is nice, worth a stroll around the port and castle lanes.
boat trips etc can be expensive but a lot of fun. a boat over to formentera for the day is a nice idea, or out to other beaches. all the beaches have little shack-type restaurants serving lovely fish lunches etc. yummy. and the gazpacho is soooo good on a hot day.
budget is tricky. i guess, take as much as you can afford and then try not to spend it all IYSWIM. would be annoying not to be able to do something you really want to...
take a debit card and withdraw money direct in euros from the bank machines. much easier/safer than carrying round bundles of changed over money and you can get it as you go... a good rate this way too.

enjoy! (i love Eivissa )
