Venice with teens

Have just booked 4 nights in Venice at the end of October- dh, me and dc 12+ 14.

Haven't been to Venice for years - (and not with kids). Will stay somewhere around St Marks square. Planning on doing standard tourist things, a trip to Murano and the beach maybe. Any other suggestions for hidden gems much appreciated.

Look at Hotel Georgione - four of us shared a room where the adults were upstairs in the meszzine floor - did a great guided walk where you paid at the end what you thought the walk was worth - you can also do lessons in rowing out on the lagoon but it was fully booked when we went

It was lovely, cool spacious rooms, amazing central location, excellent pricing and a fantastic buffet breakfast. They were so kind and helpful too. Only thing was rooms are up several flights of stairs but four nights means no really heavy luggage. I'd highly recommend them, could not believe we got such a great location for the price.
