Florida. Naples or Clearwater hotel recs please.

Hi, we're going to Florida in June for 2 weeks. We're doing 9 nights in Orlando for theme parks, Space Centre etc. We'd like to do 5 nights somewhere beachy afterwards. Naples or Clearwater are where we're thinking of at the moment. Has anyone been to either of these and have recommendations please?

We did 9 nights Disney, 1 night near kennedy and 5 nights Captiva island which was lovely

We stayed for 4 nights at the Embassy Suites in Estero. Not on the beach, but on the Interstate, but there were 5 of us, and we were on a budget ! However, we found it to be a great base, we went to a different beach everyday - Naples was our favourite, but Fort Myers Beach was lovely too, and we also visited the Everglades.

We stayed at the Inn on 5th in Naples years ago and loved it. Naples has some great restaurants and an amazing beach and Marco Iand is driving distance.

we stayed at sunset vistas on treasure island. we had a 2 bed apartment.
it was brilliant, we had so much space and a balcony that over looked the beach. its about 5 miles down the coast from Clearwater and close to St johns Pass that has things to do and places to eat.

We have also stayed at the Marriot suites in sand key, just by clearwater. there is an amazing diner next door that is still talked about in our house.

The Cove Inn at Naples is lovely and reasonably cheap for the area!

Agree the beach at Naples is amazing even by Florida standards

We stayed in La Playa in Naples- fabulous we still reminisce about it. Naples beach is really nice and less busy than Clearwater Sarisota is a lovely beach too.

Have just posted this on another thread, but we have booked here www.vacationclearwaterbeach.com for a week next summer, after 2 weeks in Orlando. Really good reviews and very close to the beach. Clearwater is gorgeous, as is St Petes just a bit further on.
