If you like cycling and are willing to take children in a carrier, then [[http://pedalabikeaway.co.uk/ Pedalabikeaway}} hires bikes + carriers out, and the family trail is a lovely circuit through the forest.

The sculpture trail in the FoD is really good too, and theres a great playground by the cafe. Its big enough round that if you have kids bikes with you that they can ride round

My then 5yo liked Clearwell caves when we visited

Beechenhurst has a cafe and huge play area, and off that are lots of trails to follow that are all very pram friendly. You can get a leaflet in the cafe for the sculpture trail that are all hidden in the woods so it's great for kids. Puzzlewood is also amazing, it's used for films regularly. Wenchford is a lovely picnic area with a stream running through it, and kids love it there. Also, Mallards Pike is a lovely lake to walk around and there is a Go Ape centre there.
Bike hire is a good idea as mostly the forest is fairly flat.
