Hi, has anyone have any experience of the Club Med near Nice? have never been to one before and am slightly worried we'll feel a bit trapped in a world of English people and English food...
Please can anyone reassure me thats its a good idea as my husband seems pretty keen since our DS will be 9 months and it'll mean a lot of the babystuff is already provided. Thanks xxx

Uh oh, do I take this lack of response as a bad sign I wonder?

We went to Turkey with Club Med last October and it's very International and totally civilised. Can't imagine what Butlins is like but the very thought of it fills me with horror.

The first language at Club Med is French but all of the staff are multi-lingual and wear a badge with flags showing which languages they speak.

We loved it and had a totally fab time so I think you should go!

I have been going to club med since I was 16 (with my parents) and took my DS (aged 2 at the time) to one in Tunisia in 2005, we are also going to Sciliy later this year. Each resort has a flavour of it's local customs etc, they do what I would class as local and european food - Good coffee in the morning! Plus the childcare is excellent - they are goverened by the same EU laws as the UK and as such you can expect the same service that you would get from a UK nursery. Seriously I recommend Club Med to anyone with children, it takes all the worry out of keeping them entertainmed and gives you a little me time! As a single parent trust me that it like heaven!!

We started going a few years ago and love it. We've been on both summer and winter holidays with Club Med - they are fantastic with children and have so many activities on offer for every age (most also offer excursions outside of the resort or can help organise individual excursions). The staff is always very helpful and friendly and the food is also always very good. We particularly like the fact that there's no need to carry money around to pay for stuff - it's all included! Just check that the resort you're interested in caters for children your ages, as not all of them allow children or children under a certain age. Have fun!
