Lodge at Loch Goil - recommendation for 'house party'.

I've just come back from a friend's 50th here - it was so phenomenal that I feel driven to pass the word on - The Lodge at Loch Goil . You have to book it outright, and it's not cheap, but it was truly, truly wonderful. Beautiful house, incredible setting, fab' food and great service. Can't recommend more highly for a special celebration. They do weddings too, almost worth getting married again for...

Looks fab but not quite my budget . We did a house party weekend for my FIL's birthday, but we did our own catering and all on a smaller budget.

Was a bit pricey... but ended up being good value compared with, say, a posh, boutique hotel. You got the setting, the food, the service PLUS you could pad around in your socks! (Oh, and dance manically to Motown at 4am in the morning. They have an IPOD dock and IPOD stuffed with tracks. We'd bought our own Ipods too... so had a bit of a disco.)
