Expiry date on passport when travelling to spain

Booked to go to Spain next month (April). Daughter (aged 5) her passport runs out June. Will this be ok? I'm
Sure I read somewhere that there has to be 3 months left on current passport.
Anyone know? Had a quick google and couldn't see anything..thanks

it's ok for eu travel. passport needs to be valid for the duration of the trip.
