Define 'not too hot'. This would be 20+, 30+ or 40+ for different people. If you are wanting AI, doesn't that limit you to the Med, Egypt, Canaries, Carribean etc or is AI available in France etc?

What about Costa Brava/Dorada - northern Spain? Somewhere like Tossa de Mar - will be mid/high 20s but not as hot as further south.

Or, we went to Mallorca first week in July last year and it was mid 20s - perfect for us. If islands are generally not as hot as the Spanish mainland, might Mallorca or other Balerics be a good choice.

As long as you avoid Magaluf or whichever part of Ibiza the clubbers and big drinkers go to, all can be a lovely choice for a family holiday.

We stayed here last year. DS was 11 and had a fabulous time. I didn't find it too hot - in the 30's with a lovely breeze most days. Not much to do in the surrounding area though but plenty of activities in the hotel, that suited us as we needed a rest.

Erm, travel agents usually have lots of advice....

Just looked at the sovereign one and it came out at £13000.

Really?! We paid approx 5k for 3 of us - 2 adults/1 child for 10 nights in August! We booked through Sovereign.

there is a fantastic website called accuweather. you put in the country and you can find what temps it was for the weeks you are interested in over the previous couple of years.

July in central Europe is going to be very hot - well very hot by my standards perhaps not yours.

if weather is the deciding factor, pick a country then look it up.

if you mean mid july school summer holidays then your choices are going to be both very limited and very expensive.
