OMG - just Moon Palace Cancun on a whim! Anyone been?

Just that really, pottering around town this morning and popped into Virgin holidays and ending up booking 9 days next August 2018 for myself, DH and Dd.
We've already got Finland booked for next Feb and weren't planning a summer holiday year but it was a good price.

Has anyone been, particularly in August with regard to the weather. Any recommendations for the hotel i.e. Room requests?

I've been there several times it's amazing, brilliant food and gorgeous rooms. You'll love it.

We honeymooned there and loved it, gorgeous place!

We went in August and the weather was beautiful. We often saw storms out to sea at night with forked lightning but it never reached shore.

We had our honeymoon there, a long long time ago! It was amazing!

I honeymooned there 10 years ago and it was lovely. Bear in mind that there are 2 sides to the hotel so make sure you explore both!

Going in June - my daughter is getting married there!!
