Has anyone sent off a child's first passport recently & had it back sooner than the recommended 6 weeks?
Thank you xx

Child's second passport was back within 6 days the other day.

BlackHillsofDakota · 09/03/2017 21:29

We got first passports for our dd's last month, they were back in two weeks.

Theimpossiblegirl · 09/03/2017 21:30

Same as wrinkles, but not sure about first passports.

dontbesillyhenry · 09/03/2017 21:32

A week exactly but used the post office check and send service

dontbesillyhenry · 09/03/2017 21:33

And was first passport

tinkerbellone · 09/03/2017 21:36

We did ours online in case it makes a difference.

tinkerbellone · 09/03/2017 21:38

I did it on paper and did check and send at postoffice. I got a text today that they'd all been received. Praying there are no problems

Oh, ours was 6 days too. Was DC renewal didn't use check and send just sent it normal post. And they text you to tell once received and and I then got a text to say it was processed and would be back with us in a few days. It turned up the next day

mummydoc123 · 09/03/2017 21:40

2 weeks. Did online. Just got back the other day.

tinkerbellone · 09/03/2017 21:40

Smile great to read how quickly they've all come back. Phew. Hope it's the same for me :)

Did my ds's online over a month ago and still waiting, this was for a renewal and it seems to be stuck on declaration received. I called today and they couldn't give me a reason why it's taking so long, fortunately not travelling till August!

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 09/03/2017 21:53

First passport for DS and renewal for DD both arrived today. DH sent the forms off 20th Feb but sent the wrong (short) birth certificate for DS and we had a letter last friday to send in the right one!

BabytoBoris · 09/03/2017 21:56

I just got one back in 3 days...

123rd · 09/03/2017 21:58

I didn't really understand online applications...what's the point if you still have to print off sign send etc. If it's a renewal you would think it could be done on line start to finish

Barabajagal · 09/03/2017 21:59

Our renewal of a child's passport done by Check and Send was back in six days. At this time of year I've never had a problem. Good luck OP.

fifipop185 · 09/03/2017 21:59

We sent DS's first passport forms off in Feb and they came back in 5 days and we used the check and send service. You'll get a text soon telling you that your documents / passport are being sent to you. Hope all goes smoothly for you OP.

NormHonal · 09/03/2017 21:59

Renewal done online just came back in a week.

Heirhelp · 09/03/2017 22:00

DD first passport was back in 6 days.

tinkerbellone · 09/03/2017 22:14

Thank you
I sent off four. Two renewals and two first passports. Kicking myself for being so last minute. Although ex-h was really difficult in passing over necessary documents. In the end I paid £45 for two birth certificates.

I've had two, a child's and an adults and both have taken exactly a week!

thebestthinginlifeisgrace · 10/03/2017 09:14

And that was only 2 weeks ago

tinkerbellone · 12/03/2017 17:50

Hey thanks everyone. I posted them on monday and all four were back on Saturday! Brilliant Grin
