riverbourne health club in Chertsey, Woking leisure centre, Walton leisure centre (I think) and there are baby swim classes held at various places including Whitely village.

Ooh, Buffysmum, you're brave!
Leoness, riverbourne is OK but ther eis no shallow end and the pool can lean towards the cold side.
Woking is nice but can be really busy at peak times (althogu I guess that at 3 months you'll go off peak?) Also, cos its a leisure centre they tend to overchlorinate the water.
Don't know about Walton or Whiteley Village.
When the weather improves check out Hampton Open Air Pool....

Personally I don't take mine - too many now to use a public pool legally!!!! Woking has special baby sessions but there are loads of adverts for aquatots and the such like so I'd check them out as I'm sure they use the nicer pools. Quite a few health clubs have pools too so it may be worth joining one that does???? Public pools are sadly on the decline!

there will be the new weybridge health club from may. any ideas anyone on cost? i'm imagining it's fairly hefty given that early sign-up (pre opening) saves you up to £273

Leoness · 05/03/2007 17:28

Sounds interesting sparklybits...can you tell me where it's going to be and/or what it's going to be called? thx

hurst pool at hampton court/east molesey is the best public pool around for miles - clean and lovely.

Themis · 05/03/2007 18:39

Hurst Pool - East Molesey
The Excel (Walton )Leisure Centre , opened last August.
Hampton Pool - in warmer weather check out their women only sessions which includes mother and baby/toddler only in learner pool.

David LLoyd health club in Weybridge /Brooklands

Sunbury leisure centre .

Whitely Village - I took my DS there many yeras ago for baby swimming lessons at about 3 months. Its all thsi underwater baby swimming - I cant rememeber the name of the company but if you cehck out a local publication called Family Grapevine you may find them.

This may be the new club in Weybridge

health club

I think that the pool at Sunbury Leisure Centre is a really good one for little ones.
Would avoid River Bourne as its always freezing cold when we go!

Walton leisure centre pool is lovely for little ones (DD has swimming lessons there). As it is new everything is clean and the pool is bright and airy. The changing rooms are clean but only 2 of the family cubicles have baby changing facilities which I have complained about.

The pre school sessions at Woking are good fun but if your DS is only 3 months he probably won't appreciate all the little slides and different pools with inflatable things in so you may as well go to Walton until he's a bit older.
