florida keys anyone?

Anyone been with DC s we are planning a week with DS and grandparents there - any idea where to stay ? be very grateful.

Went a couple of years ago. Stayed in Key west. Hotel was ok - not sure of name unfortunately but one of the usual chains. (Double Trees maybe?? or something similar) Was fine - connecting room for kids. Hired a car and drove out every day. Ended up visiting most keys and snorkelling/ eating/ diving there, returning to key west in eve. Key West itself was a lot of fun. Went on numerous boat trips and visited famous homes. Spent a couple of days in Miami at end of trip. All in all was great fun but wold have looked for a hotel with more of a resort feel if we did it again. Went with dh, 10 yr old and 5 yr old.
