Cape Verde for October half term?

Just me, DH and DD (12).

Never been but fancy somewhere a bit different for a spot of winter sun.

Any views?

I've never been but SIL is there at the moment and going by the photos it looks beautiful. The temperatures seem to be a constant 24 degrees at this time.She's been staying in Mindelo and the market looks amazing, it's in this beautiful old building.

judging by other posts over the past couple of years, there isn't much to do there apart from sit on the beach. not sure a 12 yr old would really enjoy it that much but then it just depends I guess.

Did you book? I live there if it helps?...
