Anyone renewed their passport this month? Just wondering how long they are taking at the moment? I have a trip booked 10 March and debating whether to fast track and go for the 1-day passport office thing

I got mine back within a week or ten days max. I applied online and uploaded the digital photo hen just had to send my old passport in.

Renewed a passport at the London office in person this week (on an appointment I had made in advance). It was not busy at all compared to when I renewed in July two and a half years ago and I spent a couple of hours in a queue.

Having a bit of a nightmare with what is a straightforward passport renewal for my child. Passport Office have had it over 3 weeks and no sign of it being issued. They say they are contacting all countersignatories at present. And helpfully they have lost the letter my countersignatory sent to them.

Less than a week for mine 2 weeks ago - also done online

Our DGD's mum got an email yesterday to say DGD's renewed passport was on its way, we had only checked-and-sent it last Friday. Our countersignatories buzzed off to Rome at the weekend so I don't think they can have been contacted.

This time of year I'd send them in normally.

Filled out online, and was back in 5 days.

Did not pay the £3 to have it securely sent as my mum did this and the man drove up and posted it through a neighbour's door! Ours came via Royal mail and had to be signed for.

Do it online for the best turnaround.

I've just sent mine off and praying they come back sooner than four weeks!
