Where to go for a week's holiday when 8 months pregnant

Hi! A friend and I want to go away somewhere in March with our little ones (both 3). She will be 8 months pregnant by then so can't fly.

Any ideas?

So far we've thought of:
A ferry to France (but will be cold and wet!)
A train to Paris / EuroDisney
A ferry to somewhere else?
Somewhere in UK (but Center Parcs is a rip off so not CP)

We're up for an alternative adventure - Norway, maybe even the Hebrides?!

Help!

seriously, please don't plan to take an 8m pregnant woman too far from home. this is full term and it wouldn't be unusual to deliver at this stage. why not pick an indulgent uk trip - bath for the weekend, nice hotel, afternoon tea that sort of thing. or a murder mystery weekend or something/anything that doesn't involve foreign or long distance travel.

Going abroad at 8 months is crazy. Pretty sure travel insurance wont cover that. I would go somewhere near a main hospital! I think ferries also have similar rules to planes about pregnant passengers, although that might not apply to the shorter crossing perhaps.

Completely mad!! Do you really want to risk her being in France, going into early labour and then you've then get your own kid, her kid and her to look after plus dealing with a foreign healthcare system.

Agree - book a cottage or nice hotel not too far from home and near a good hospital!!

Yep - cottage somewhere not too far from home. Not sure where in the UK you are?

Sounds like you are planning on taking the 3 year olds? If so, we spent the last week of March in Dorset last year. A few nice days on the beach and lots of wet weather options for colder/rainy days. Or New Forest has Peppa Pig world and loads of other attractions plus beach/outdoorsy stuff if you have warm days. Our littlies have enjoyed Devon and Norfolk out of season too.

Not sure ferries will take her at that stage. How about Butlins or Center Parcs, both have a Spa and fun for the children. We went to Longleat in March a few years ago and not only did it snow but there were deer on our patio. Lovely!

Butlins Bognor Regis has a just for tots week in late March which would probably be perfect for you. Kids can run amok at all the different activities and you guys can mostly sit and watch, or take turns at the spa in one of the hotels.
