London Zoo at half term

I was looking at taking DS (9) to London Zoo at half term. Firstly, is this a terrible idea? Will it be heaving and impossible to walk around? Secondly, any tips for keeping costs down? Are the Fasttrack tickets worthwhile?

It's 2 for 1 if you have a train ticket. It's so big that I don't think it ever get really packed, it probably won't be that busy Feb half term, everyone will be at the museums

What are the fast track tickets for?

Sleepingbunnies · 23/01/2017 20:46

Feb half term isn't busy. We are members so go frequently.

Save your money on fast track tickets.

2for1 train here www.daysoutguide.co.uk/zsl-london-zoo

Save money with a packed lunch and snacks and drinks. Be warned that you exit through the shop and stuff is expensive. So you might like to have some sweets/other crap with you as a surprise or give her a pre-set amount of pocket money.

The tube at Camden gets incredibly busy when the market is on. From ?Regents Park tube stop it is a20-30 min walk, but v pretty in places.

Thanks! Looks like it could be a possibility then!

Not sure about Fasttrack! I presumed it would be a queue jumping type thing?

It'll just be me and DS going...can we get 2 for 1 tickets or is it on adult tickets only?

You'd effectively just pay for your ticket on 2 for 1.
