Made a silly mistake when I was younger - help!

Hi guys. So when I was younger and I went abroad with my family I made a silly mistake and shoplifted from duty free on the way home! I wasnt caught and was absolutely fine, however I want to return to the country with my partner next year and I am SO worried they will pull me out when I arrive. Can anyone tell me whether they would know me and what I've done? Please put my mind at ease

I doubt very much that they have your face on a wanted poster in the airport - they tend to have more serious security issues to contend with these days!

Did you get arrested or cautioned? If you did you might have to declare it. Really depends which country you are going to.

You say you weren't caught; how would they know you? . Then again, you also claim you half inched stuff by "mistake", so you really are a little confused...

I highly doubt it. Possibly they got you on CCTV at the time but how many years ago are we talking about? As you didn't pay you won't have shown a boarding card so they won't have your name just an image at most.

Yeah. I'm sure they have your face on "X country's" version of Crimewatch every week.

I was 16. I know it sounds daft but I'm a worry wart and I regret it so much!

I didn't steal anything by mistake obviously, it was a moral error which I regret.

What did you steal?

I cant even remember. It wasnt anything expensive like perfume or alcohol as I was only either 15 or 16.

Thinking about it now, I think it was a teddy for my sister as I had already spent all my spending money. Like i say, it was something completely daft that I don't even understand why I did it.
