Starting to plan our summer holiday and wondering about driving to Denmark & Sweden

If you've done this I'd welcome suggestions on which channel crossing is best and places to stop on the way.

Thanks!

We've done this. Got ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland then stopped off in Ghent (stayed 2 nights to watch a flower parade they hold on the wAter/canals) then stopped in campsite near Dutch/German border then stayed with friends who live in Bergen. Drove up Germany near Hamburg and got a small ferry from puttgarden across to Denmark. Then went via somewhere I can't remember up to Copenhagen. From Copenhagen it was easy (but not cheap, apx £20 I think) to go across 'the bridge' to Sweden. We then spent a week in Sweden before driving up to Norway coming home via kristansand to north Denmark. We were in a campervan so didn't have to pay much for accommodation. One way home we did night crossing hook holland to harwich, which was great. More expensive but we were surprised at how nice it was in a cabin. Not much room but clean and we all slept really well.
