Naice family resorts in the Balearics or Croatia please

Your recommendations if you'd be so kind. I'm currently blinded by the choice in the brochures!

Is it important to you to be near a sandy beach? A lot of the resorts in Croatia have bathing platforms/stoney beaches rather than sand. Sandy beaches much more common in the Balearics. That might be one way of narrowing down your choices.

We went to Pollensa in Mallorca last year and absolutely loved it.
We stayed in the countryside between Old Town Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa. Lovely and quiet and 5 mins to either place. We prefer old town to the port, although it is lovely too. We hired a villa with pool, it was perfect.
Very safe, family friendly, no loud clubs or bars, no high rise resort hotels.
DH took the kids to the water park in Alcudia one day and texted me to say everyone who voted 'leave' was there,. We thought Alcudia was quite touristy.
Would recommend Pollensa definitely though.
