After hearing how good it is on hear I'm planning Efteling for a few days next year prob Easter.

But I wanted to take car and now am lost as ferry seems tricky from South east.

You could get the ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland.

I think it's only a 3 hour drive from Calais so you could do the channel tunnel from Folkestone?

Thanks both. I was hoping you avoid driving across France but dies look like that's the faster option.

The Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry is excellent, and gets you to within 30 minutes of Efteling. You can sleep on it and arrive fresh the next morning.

However, it's much cheaper to go via Calais, and it really doesn't take that long to drive up through France and Belgium.

we got ferry from dover to dunkirk, and drove from there, or you can stop off in bruges, novotel do family room for 90 very good and nice hotel. but drive is fine - straight forward etc.

dunkirk saves you half hour drive - from calais and we use tesco vouchers
