Croyde with a 3mo and 2yo

My darling Mum has booked us a holiday cottage to cheer us up about a severe lack on money while I am on maternity leave. It's in Croyde and we're going at the start of September. Can anyone recommend activities/days out suitable for small children? Am sure we'll be able to cart the baby along to anything we want to go to but really want recommendations for the 2yo?

I've stayed most places around the coast - is Croyde near Woolacombe? That's great for young families - massive sandy beach with swing boats etc at one end.
Rock pools on Combesgate beach plus lots of pools left at low tide - great for paddling.
There's a little kiddy theme park on the road into town.
Saunton sands also great beach - loads of rock pools.
