baggage control strikes - Fri 23rd Dec - what happens?

Hi one of my kids is due to fly back on Friday 23rd. Does anyone know what the effect of the strikes is likely to be? Will they be able to get back for Christmas? I would be gutted if they get stuck abroad.

Where are they flying from and to? Not all airports will be affected - and the impact will vary at each. Also, it may still be cancelled.

If the strike does go ahead, the most likely thing is that checked luggage will be affected, not flights cancelled. So try not to panic, it's most likely to be a hassle and not stop them getting home.

thanks mrsjw. its one of the airports affected, i'm just trying to check which company he's flying with and if they use swiss aire. at least he should get home then, even if he doesnt have his baggage
