Heading out in March. Any recommendations for hotels? Wanting a suite really. Two adults and one three year old. Happy to pay extra.

I would recommend the Grosvenor house at the marina. You can use the facilities of Le Royal Meridian beach resort which is literally on the beach.

Thank you Giz. Are we crazy to book Atlantis?!

Have you looked at Jumeirah beach hotel or the others on that complex - especially Dar Al Masyaf? There's several hotels all share the beach and Wild wadi water park. If you get half board you can eat at loads of different restaurants. Dar al Masyaf rooms are huge and have a sofa bed in them.

Thanks Mama. Will have a look. Never been to Dubai before. Just want good facilities for three year old and a spacious room without feeling overwhelmed by large hotels.

Anantara on the Palm...a bit away from the centre of Dubai, but great for a relaxing holiday.
Lagoon access rooms are fantastic.
Beach is great for a 3yr old...as its on the Palm, so very little waves, lovely sand.
Make sure you get a half board deal....food and drink can be very pricey.

....and yes crazy to book Atlantis ;-))

We last stayed at jumeirah beach hotel. Great pools, water park and kids club.

There is waterways with Abras going around the other hotels and souk madinat.

Also jumeirah beach here - an exec suite is great as you get a centre to go to for free drinks, pre-dinner snacks (which were enough for our dd as dinner) and toys/colouring/TVs for the children. There are huge balconies so lots of space in the room, we had an amazing breakfast delivered daily which was included.

The childcare is brilliant and the exec pool is lovely and a lot quieter than the standard pool - often get given ice lollies or fruit sticks and sprayed with water if you fancy it, just to keep you cool Grin

Main advantage of Atlantis is that you get into the waterpark for free so if you had older kids who would like to basically live there, then it is worth considering as day rates are fairly steep. However, it feels very "Vegas" - i.e. a big, busy, manic hotel, so unless you really think you'll go to the waterpark every day, there are better options. The waterpark is not actually brilliant for toddlers IMO as even the little kid area has these things that dump water on you from a height unpredictably. The other one (Wild wadi?) is maybe a better option. That's next to the Jumeriah beach (the wave). The Al Qasr is also a very nice hotel with great kids facilities.
