Escorted/tour holidays

Has anyone ever done an escorted long haul holiday to China or New Zealand?
I turn 50 in a couple of years and fancy treating myself (I'd be travelling alone).

I haven't myself personally but my IL's have done 2 16 night escorted tours to China and Vietnam with Wendy Wu tours

I really like G Adventures for that kind of holiday.

My guide was very good. Group of 15, and you would not have felt like you were on a trip with a bunch of gap-year kids.

I've heard of Wendy Wu tours, good to have a recommendation. I shall have a look at your suggestion Trills, thanks both.

I did one to Japan with Kuoni. It was brilliantly organised

The PILs always go on this kind of holiday (several times a year). They've been to most of SE Asia on organised tours, India (twice, but it's a big place), several Latin American countries, New Zealand, Canada and so on. They're planning to go to Sudan next.

Clearly they'd thoroughly recommend it. It's not what DH and I would choose for a holiday but the PILs love an organised tour.
