Help!

Looking for a short haul holiday with an active 6 year old and a toddler, so need a lovely sandy beach but can't cope with a purpose built tourist area- need some restaurants not purely geared towards English tourists and preferably some interesting bits to explore!

Have done Cala Galdana in menorca which was great for the kids but the town didn't offer much, and I'd like to try somewhere new!

All recommendations gratefully received Flowers

I don't have children so bumping for you

But I've been to Croatia which is absolutely beautiful, lots to see and not too long flight away. Montenegro is beautiful too.

Nerja on the costa del sol. Very much a working Spanish old town full of charm.
Its around 1hr from Malaga. I can't describe how beautiful it is.

Ayamonte/Isla Canela area of Andalucia.
We own a property there and May is my favourite time to go.

Gozo (island off Malta)? I'm thinking of going there next summer.

Gandia/Oliva near Valencia. Not touristy, gorgeous beaches lovely grub!

Thankyou! Some of these look beautiful, Gozo beach and Montenegro look amazing!

Nerja seems to ring a bell-have a funny feeling I may have been there as a young teen, will have to speak to family to find out if I did or not.

Off to research prices etc...

Cascais, 30 mins from Lisbon. Lovely sandy beach, untroubled by crowds at that time of year. And the restaurants...
