Lapland - Advice needed!

We want to book lapland for Dec 07 but I have read so many different reivews etc am completely confused. Have priced up a few and would welcome any advice.
We have decided Canterbury Travel are too expensive as they are coming out at about £4300. I then looked at Cosmos who had a good 3 night package for about £2600. However it took off from gatwick and landed in Manchester for about 1 hour so that put me off a little!
The others I have looked at is 3 nights in Sariselka with Esprit at the holiday inn, I thinked that one was about £2700 and lastly the much cheaper first choice holidays at Levi (white reinder) of Yllas (snow princess) which come up at about £2300 for 4 nights. I have read loads of bad things about First Choice in Lapland but I must admit the few reviews I have read on hear look quite good so really do not know what to do. Hubby isnt quite as keen as me, so obviously the cheaper price I get the better, but do not want to go too cheap and regret it. Please is there anyone who can help me decide!

Can't help much, we went with Canterbury which was good, but I would say that if its bad, its very very bad, freezing your nuts off with nothing to do is awful!! Check exactly what excursions and transfers etc are included before you book!

We went to Levi with Cosmos a few years ago but no Manchester stop off. It was great (apart from the Gala meal, but we're not really into group stuff) - it included Santa's workshop, husky rides, reindeer rides, skimobile, sledging etc etc. We want to go again as we now have dd who will be nearly 4. We're thinking of doing it independently - should work out much cheaper but we haven't really looked into it properly yet. Will watch this with interest.

we went with Canterbury. It was fantastic. IMHO the best holidya we have ever had. Ds still talks about it. The attention to detail was fab. No queing all the coaches were in contact so when you arrived at your activity nobody else was there. Plenty of sleighs, skidoos etc so again no queing. quality of clothing excellent, warm enough to sleep in the igloo. Ds adored that. We went for 5 days over christmas, it was so magical, 20 mins with santa, ds v pleased he got what he wanted ;)
Higly recommended, worth every very expensive penny. Would def go again if we could afford it. There were teeenagers, a couple with no kids, grandparents evryone had a great time.
