Baby seats in a campervan

I am new to MN but have a question. We are contemplating taking a 4 week camper van holiday as part of mat leave, and are suddenly concerned about the safety and feasibility of using car seats. Has anyone got any feedback on whether car seats can be used and how easy and safe is it?

It depends what the seats are like. I've had baby seats on the bench seat at the front of a transit van many times. You need to make sure that the front passenger airbag is turned off before you put them in.

When DD was a bit bigger and in a forward facing seat she loved being in a transit van as she was high up and could see everything.
